Belper U21s 2 Ilkeston U21s 2
Ilkeston dominated the first half but only had one goal to show for their efforts. The goal was scored by David Jones who was the pick of the forwards on 30 minutes. Belper came out for the second half like a different team and scored twice on 50 and 55 minutes. Ilkeston then regained the initiative and Keenan Meakin fired home a free kick on the hour. Ilkeston dominated the rest of the game but a shot against the upright was as near as they came to getting the winner. New keeper Dale Eve made his first start and looked very confident. He wasn't' seriously tested but he did nothing wrong.

The Belper pitch wasn't in bad condition considering there had been a another game on it in the afternoon. It was a keenly fought contest and Ilkeston were really up for it. About 50 turned up to see the game on a very cold night. Nice to see Declan again at the game together with a few hardy Ilkeston fans and officials.
