The Playoffs

The playoffs : Stamford (2nd ) v Belper (5th) and Halesowen (3rd) v Chasetown (4th)
In my opinion Stamford are the favourites. They are the team who have finished the season strongest with nine consecutive wins. Not many will be giving Belper a chance but anything can happen in a one off match.
The other semi final could go either way but I’m expecting home advantage to give Halesowen the edge against Chasetown.
Looking back at the 2019-20 season in the NPL South East Division, These were the top four when the season was curtailed:

Leek 28 23 3 2 64 19 72
Stamford 29 22 4 3 74 27 70
Cleethorpes 29 17 6 6 67 40 57
Belper 26 14 7 5 44 29 49
Interestingly all four above teams are in this year's playoffs.
Leek have home advantage against Runcorn Linnets in the West Division playoffs and Cleethorpes have home advantage against Stockton in the East Division playoffs.

So its Belper and Chasetown in the Play Off final! Not the teams that anybody expected to win tonight but its football and we love it!
