Carlton's allocation appeal is dismissed

.
MILLERS WILL REMAIN POSITIVE DESPITE LOSING LEAGUE APPEAL!

This website understands that Alan Murphy assisted by Mick Garton and Dave Hodgson put forward an outstanding presentation to the appeals Committee on Thursday Evening , but to no avail as the appeal was rejected.

Although all at the club are extremely disappointed at the verdict, a general decision has been made to remain positive, focus on the new signings we are making and the things we are going to have to do to raise the money to deal with the issues that the decision leaves us with.

There has been so much positivity at the club in recent times and the club are determined to not let this decision erode that away.

Carlton now face what looks like a much tougher next season in the NPL East Division making it much more difficult to push for a playoff place. At least they have a local derby to look forward to against Long Eaton.

CARLTON TO FUNDRAISE TO COVER NEXT SEASON'S EXTRA TRAVEL COSTS

TOMMY AND ROGER ORGANISE TWO KEY SUMMER FUND RAISERS!

Following the decision of the appeals committee to upheld the Football Asociation’s league allocations for the forthcoming season, Carlton faced with the significant extra travel costs have announced two key fund raisers for the summer.

Joint Manager Tommy Brookbanks has took it upon himself to organise a special evening on Saturday 30th July when Dean Windass will be the club’s very special guest for a Saturday evening Speakers event at Stoke Lane. All money raised from the event will go to travel costs for the forthcoming season with the club’s budget needing a significant increase running into thousands of pounds. Coaches last season averaged £550 but quotes for some games next season obtained by secretary Trevor Wells are £1,000 for certain fixtures.

Tommy is hoping that players, Commitee and Supporters will support the Saturday night event with tickets available at only £30 each which is £10 less than at a usual Speakers event. The evening will include Hog Roast and Fries and will come after the Millers play a friendly away at Gedling Miners Welfare. The club’s Commercial and Marketing Manager Boatsy is available on 07907 064189 to accept bookings for tickets and tables.

Club President Roger Smith meanwhile has comfirmed that this years annual Golf Day at Oakmere Park will be on Friday 19th August and the price to include a Bacon Butty on arrival and a two course meal afterwards will remain at £180 for a team of 4 people.Boatsy can also be contacted on this as well but Roger himself is the prime contact on 07836 387009.

To sponsor the Dean Windass evening and take the top table , the cost is £400 for 9 people and Dean will be sitting and chatting with you.
