    Local Non League teams

    .

    LOCAL NON-LEAGUE TEAMS 

    Derbyshire now have eight Non-League teams playing at Step 4 and above.  

    National League                 Chesterfield
    National League North       Alfreton and Buxton
    Step 3                                 Belper, Ilkeston, Matlock and Mickleover
    Step 4                                 Long Eaton  

    All of our teams did well last season: 
    Chesterfield made the playoffs in the National League
    Alfreton finished just outside the playoffs in the National League North
    Buxton were promoted as Champions to National League North
    Belper were promoted through the playoffs to Step 3
    Ilkeston were promoted as Champions to Step 3
    Matlock made the playoffs but stay at Step 3
    Mickleover finished mid table at Step 3 after a poor start
    Long Eaton United promoted to Step 4 as Champions

    I missed Glossop North End (Step 4)  So that makes nine Derbyshire teams

    They just avoided relegation last season from NPL West Division.

    By comparison there are only 4 Nottinghamshire Non-League teams at Step 4 and above
    But they do have a Premiership team and Mansfield in the EFL 

    National League                 Notts County
    Step 3                                 Basford
    Step 4                                 Carlton, Worksop 


    Notts County made the playoffs in the National League
    Basford avoided relegation from Step 3
    Carlton finished just outside the playoffs at Step 4
    Worksop finished in top half at Step 4

    Of the Derbyshire and Notts Non-League teams, Long Eaton scored the most points and the most goals last season
