Campaign to tackle criminal and antisocial fan behaviour

DATE: WED 10 AUG 2022   BY STEVE WHITNEY
Fan Behaviour Toolkit
As we commence the 2022/23 season, the behaviour of fans is as much of a concern to the National League System as it is at games in the Premier League and the EFL.

We have developed this toolkit for clubs to use to promote across their various platforms to stand united that poor and criminal behaviour will not be tolerated   (click on the above image for the toolkit).

We want to unite across the National League System by having a ‘united together’ campaign on Friday 12th August ahead of the matches at the weekend. These measures will only act as a reminder and a deterrent. It is recognised that further support, guidance and training is needed to help club volunteers manage spectators and – where unfortunately it occurs – how to deal with any incidents that may arise. Therefore, this toolkit is just the start and the NLS will be providing further support for clubs throughout the season as we stand together to remove these behaviours from our game. We all have a role to play, including how our players, coaches and managers act to having the right tactics to manage scenarios.
