Zak Goodson departs to Altrincham FC of the National League for an undisclosed fee,

We can this afternoon confirm the departure of Zak Goodson to Altrincham FC of the National League for an undisclosed fee.

Zak joined us in the summer of 2020 at 20-years-old, going on to make 48 appearances for the Robins, finding the back of the net on 34 occasions, and we are proud to have assisted Zak in his progression to the professional side of the game and in elevating his career.

It is a sad day for us all to see Zak leave but we would like to thank him for everything he has helped the club achieve and wish him all the very best for the future.

Assisting all of our players to improve by providing excellent facilities and coaching and encouraging them to follow their dreams will always remain our priority.

As disappointing as this stance may be at times, our club will benefit in the long run by the amount of great young prospects we will continue to attract.

Despite losing Zak we still have an excellent squad of players at the club and our focus now is solely on advancing into the next round of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday.Thank you, Zak and Good Luck.
