Early kickoffs

.

I've just noticed that Royston have moved the kickoff time for their match against Hitchin on 19th November.

Other clubs are starting to do this ie Tamworth, Hitchin and Alvechurch

Re: Early kickoffs

The problem clubs will have was pointed out to me by an official from Bromsgrove Sporting who said if they kicked off at 2pm they would still have to switch on the lights towards the end of the game. He also pointed out that there was not too much difference in the cost of switching them on for twenty minutes or two hours. I presume that a 1:30 kick off may get over that problem but would crowds suffer as a result of the earlier kick off defeating the object of the exercise. Whatever happens many clubs will find the cost of living crisis very real and maybe a bigger threat than covid. Let’s hope the World Cup and a lack of Premier League means attendances will rise in non-league.
