- Squad Update Oct 24, 2022
- A month after Jamie Ward and Ben Turner were appointed as manager and assistant respectively, they have decided on how the Robins squad will look.
- Ollie Brown-Hill will be going out on loan to Stamford AFC for three months with a recall option in place. This is to allow him to remain match sharp.
- Marshall Willock has reluctantly been released from his contract due to personal circumstances. This was at the player’s request and Marshall leaves with best wishes from everybody at the club.
- Tom Solanke has been recalled back to his parent club Boston United.
- We are in the process of negotiating loan extensions for the following players:
- Ollie Battersby – Grimsby Town
- Finn Delap – Burton Albion
- Reece Hutchinson – Cheltenham Town
- We can confirm that below is our up to date squad list, however, a central midfielder will be added to this in due course.

Sad about Ollie going to Stamford although it is only a loan and like Montel he may be back quicker than we think. I will also miss Solanke who I do not think got enough plaudits at the NMG. Marshall is a very polite young person and again its a shame he is leaving. However you have to move forward and players always move on. I think looking at the list we may need a bit more defensive back up but apart from that the squad does look good enough to move up the table.

It’s with sadness and happiness that we lose James Jepson to Ilkeston as a coach. JJ has been instrumental in all the great things we have achieved so far this season. But it’s an offer from a massive club.

SOLANKE BACK IN UNITED FOLD BY CRAIG SINGLETON

Boston United have recalled midfielder Tom Solanke from his loan spell at Ilkeston Town.The 21-year-old has been at the New Manor Ground since September 1, having been sent out on loan by the previous management team, but returns to the Jakemans Community Stadium ahead of Tuesday evening’s trip to Brackley Town. Solanke has yet to make a competitive appearance for the Pilgrims following his summer arrival from Alvechurch.

I think this is our current squad updated following Reece Hutchinson's return to Cheltenham, Ben Turner's move to Forest Green Rovers and the signings of Lamine Kaba Sherif, Henri Wider and Tyree Wilson
This now looks like a really strong squad capable of achieving promotion. People have been saying to Dave that we won't get promoted this season and we'll have to go for it next season but Dave isn't having that.

Tom Hilton was on the bench against Hitchin, so presumably he's still with us?
