This month has to be the most important and exciting month of the season. We had six fixtures that looked like making or breaking our challenge to get into the playoffs. Now we have an additional fixture on the last day of the month against another of our rivals.
Following our draw at Mickleover we have four matches against teams in the lower half of the table; Rushden. Kings Langley, Hednesford and St Ives. We then play rivals Coalville on Jan 28 and now Leiston on Jan 31st
January month matches ;
Mon 02 Jan Mickleover Away 1-1
Sat 07 Jan Rushden & Diamonds Home
Sat 14 Jan Kings Langley Away
Tue 17 Jan Hednesford Town Away
Sat 21 Jan St Ives Town Away
Sat 28 Jan Coalvillle Town Home
Tue 31 Jan Leiston Away
By the end of January we should know whether we have a chance of getting into the playoffs or if it’s going to be a season of consolidation.
Finally, travelling all the way to Leiston for a night match is the ultimate test of commitment and dedication for our supporters and I wouldn't be surprised if we had a full bus.

If we get to Leiston early maybe we could have a seaside visit. The resort of Aldeburgh is only 4 miles away.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
Aldeburgh is a coastal town in the county of Suffolk, England. Located to the north of the River Alde. Its estimated population was 2,276 in 2019.[2] It was home to the composer Benjamin Britten and remains the centre of the international Aldeburgh Festival of arts at nearby Snape Maltings, which was founded by Britten in 1948. It also hosts an annual poetry festival and several food festivals and other events. Aldeburgh, as a port, gained borough status in 1529 under Henry VIII. Its historic buildings include a 16th-century moot hall and a Napoleonic-era Martello Tower. A third of its housing consists of second homes. Visitors are drawn to its Blue Flag beach and fisherman huts, where fresh fish is sold, to Aldeburgh Yacht Club and to its cultural offerings. Two family-run fish and chip shops have been rated among the country's best. The independent Aldeburgh bookshop has been in business for over seventy years, is locally thought to have been the site of the birthplace of George Crabbe (1754-1832) and has organised the annual Aldeburgh Literary Festival since 2002.
