Last night's Supporters Group Committee Meeting (Wed 19 Apr '23)

.
Last night’s Supporters Group Committee meeting. Wed 19 April 23

Andy Nally said that he has changed his mind about staying in the Southern League and now prefers to go in the Northern Premier.  This is because of the bigger gates we would get due to much greater travelling support coming to the NMG from the likes of FC United of Manchester and others. Away support in the Southern League has been pitiful.
The downside of being in the Northern Prem is that travelling distances will be further so more costly and promotion is likely to be far more difficult. I think we could make the playoffs next season if in the Southern League.
Which league we will be in is ultimately decided by promotions and relegations and is outside of our control.

The Supporters Player of the Year has been decided and trophies engraved.
The AGM will take place on Wednesday 10th May 2023
Pre-season friendlies at the NMG are planned against two Football League Clubs and Scunthorpe
A couple of fundraising events being planned: a golf tournament and a speaker evening possibly with Razor Ruddock

The current committee members expressed a willingness to continue in office if voted for at the AGM.
