I rated Ollie Brown-Hill and would have liked him to stay. I understand he was offered terms but declined the offer after a honest chat with Jamie Ward. Ollie probably concluded that he has more game opportunities at Stamford.

You can’t blame Ollie for signing on at Stamford as at the NMG he was only a squad member. Like many others I was always impressed with the way he played the game. He will do well at Stamford no doubt!

IMO he was treated poorly. Ilkeston didn’t want him. So he went on loan. Played regularly at Stamford then got recalled to play in a meaningless game when he could have been left at Stamford to celebrate their title win
So personally I’m not surprised he’s gone. As for getting more game time at Stamford than Ilkeston I think he’d do really well if given regular games
Think Stamford will finish top half in their league
Good luck to Ollie. A solid lad whose face didn’t fit

I totally agree with you Dick. It is difficult to understand why he fell out of favour at the NMG.

I'm inclined to agree that Ollie wasn't treated particularly well. Of course we don't know what goes on behind closed doors but as far as i know he was a more than decent player who always gave 100% and his attitude was exemplary.
So I think only six of last season's players remain; Wilder, Errat-Thompson, Woakes, Woodward, Fenton and Lita.
We may ask why Ollie wasn't kept. We may also wonder why Jack Thomas chose to play for Basford.
We may also ask why Remaye Campbell wasn't kept. Of course it's Jamie Ward who makes the decisions and if he replaces them with better players then we'll all be happy.

It could be that we are not paying as much as we did last season or al least not as often! I doubt any of the players who have chosen to leave were playing for minimum wage.
