Quickly following on from the Eastwood match we now face Belper United at the NMG.
We've scraped two wins in two of our pre-season games but we were second best against Maltby Main last time out at the NMG.

Here's hoping for a big improvement from the team because after talking to several supporters, general opinion is that the first three friendlies haven't provided a lot of optimism for the season ahead.

Its 7 05pm and It's bright sunshine just now at the NMG.
The Belper United players in all green are testing the pitch.

It's now 10 minutes to kick off. It's a pleasant evenng but there aren't many in the ground.

Lita misses a great opportunity after he wins the ball off of the keeper but a defender blocks his effort.
Good save by Yates from Belper No 8. Then good save by Woodward from Hallam's effort.
Belper take the lead with a header from a corner. 0-1 33 mins

Yates, Errat-Thompson, Wilder, Hallam and Christie have looked okay. Lita seems to be struggling and lacking confidence. This team would probably get hammered by Scunthorpe.

Nearly another. Purposeful start by Ilkeston. Tyson (No 14) is on for the second half and he's made an immediate difference.

Great cross by Tyson is firmly headed goal wards by Lita but Woodward saves. Fantastic pass finds No 2 who cuts in and fires past Woodward 2-1 59 mins

Another classy run by Tyson but No 12 can't turn his cross into the net. Ilkeston have gone off the boil somewhat but are comfortably in control. Tyson races through but he's fouled. Lita takes the free kick and his attempt is just wide.

After an uninspiring first half, the introduction of Tyson had an immediate affect. Our attack which in all of the other pre-season games had struggled to create chances, suddenly looked much more threatening.
Jamie Ward had said previously that he would like a couple of players who he could bring on to make a difference. Tyson certainly did that.
