    Ilkeston Town v Port Vale U21s - Tue 8th Aug 23 - ko 7.15pm

    Apparently we have another pre-season friendly against Port Vale Under 21s tomorrow night.

    𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗢𝗧𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗠𝗚! Manager Gary Hayward has added one last pre-season friendly ahead of our NPL season opener on Saturday. We will welcome a @OfficialPVFC XI to the Microlise New Manor Ground tomorrow evening (Tuesday 8th) kick-off 7:15pm, admission is FREE.

    Good attack in the opening minute by Ilkeston.  Penalty to Ilkeston after Tyson is pulled back.  Keeper saves but it's a dominant start by the Robins. Now a free kick on edge of area after Hallam is brought down. Keeper saves again.      0-0       10 mins

     Attack by Vale ends with a free kick on the corner of Ilkeston's area, It's cleared.  Good run and cross by Zottos but the header goes over the bar.  Shot by Hallam is just wide.    0-0      17 mins

     Zottos in particular has looked unstoppable. We have to sign Trialist No 5 .   Maybe it's because the  opposition is weak but we've looked super impressive tonight.

    Zottos replaced by Christie.  Tyson shot hits a defender on the line following Walker's cross. Good play by Dixon who wins the ball and crosses a great ball into the box.           5-0     60 mins

    Ilkeston no 2 fires just wide.   Tolley's cross should have been converted but despite all the changes its still all Ilkeston. Fenton free kick is high and wide.    6-0       76 mins

    No 5 was on the team sheet as a trialist. I heard he might be a Long Eaton player. 
    He was big and very good. I could be wrong but I think his name was Luke

    Luke signed for Long Eaton last September. He was a professional at Sheffield Wednesday and had spells with Redditch United and Chasetown before joining Long Eaton United. He is 21.

    Was there a big difference between the County U21 and last nights Port Vale U21 only asking coz i thought this game would have been a harder game . How wrong was i lol
