Thursday 7th Sep

Training was really intense tonight with Ian Deakin's on field instructions clearly heard by the watching supporters. When training was over Deaks & Co spent time with us explaining his methods, what he expected from the players and how he wanted the team to play.

Oh....... and two big signings should be announced tomorrow. 

Having watched several Ilkeston matches before being appointed, Deakin already knew the capabilities of the current squad so the running in period should be short.  And now plenty of decent players are wanting to come here.

There's a real feeling that Ilkeston are now on the up and that things are about to happen. It may take a few weeks before Deaks & Co get things exactly how they want them but it's just a matter of time.
