Koby Eratt-Thompson comes on for last few minutes. Two good chances for Ilkeston but they don't go in. Corner Ilkeston but again they can't force it in.

Strangely we had the better of added time creating three decent chances but by then the game was lost. The rest of the game we were second best.

I was wandering when that rumour would start!
A typical Ilson start to the season. World beaters for three games and then abject losers for four!
I have not watched any of the games but the stats look a bit bleak. Gary must be wondering how he turns the teams form round. It would be interesting to hear the views of those who have seen the games to see what hey think is the problem.

I've watched ilkeston for to many years now to remember but the performance I saw today is 2nd to our 10 - 1 loss to mertyhr.

Bad or awful is being kind on our players. I would keep 4 maybe 5 players out of this squad.

The quicker we get to 50 points the better we will be.

.Yes it was poor. Mickleover were streets better than us. We missed Fenton and where was Jack Tolley? In my opinion our three best players were Eratt-Thompson, Wilder and Yates. Hallam tried his best and so did Walker and I'm starting to think Ethan Hill could be useful. The rest struggled against a far superior Mickleover. First half we did okay concentrating on making sure Mickleover didn't score. When they did score early in the second half we had probably our best spell when we pushed for a leveller. We had two penalty shouts rejected before one was given against us at the other end and that was that.

A fourth consecutive defeat spelled the end of Gary Hayward’s short tenure as Ilkeston manager as the Robins exited the FA Cup at the first hurdle. It was always going to be difficult against unbeaten Mickleover and three second half goals saw the hosts go through to the next round.
Mickleover edged the first half but with few chances for either side it was 0-0 at half time.
The hosts started the second half with real determination and Matthew Yates was forced to make a brilliant save from an Oliver Greaves curler which was heading for the top corner. Mickleover should then have scored with a header from a few yards out but on 52 minutes they went ahead through Stuart Beavon. This was followed by Ilkeston’s best spell as they looked for a leveller. The Robins were out of luck when first Mickleover keeper Jim Pollard pulled off an outstanding save on 69 minutes and this was quickly followed by the rejection of two handball claims for a penalty within two minutes of each other. Greaves doubled Mickleover’s lead with a spot kick then four minutes from time Finn Delap made it 3-0 as Mickleover ran out comfortable winners.
