Another impressive workout for the fledgling Robin side. Played in very wet conditions Town were fat too strong for their Nottinghamshire rivals. This was acknowledged by Clifton manager James Turner who on twitter conceded "quite simply, they were very good, should've been more, they were a credit". Clifton are at the same level as Ilkeston so the victory is a great indicator of how the Robins may fair next season. Clifton have also had a good pre season beating Skegness Town 6-1 and Heanor Town 4-1.
