Nuneaton

.
Nuneaton Borough Football Club

Boro have agreed to play our game against Alvechurch on Saturday at Stratford Town FC. Kick-off is at 3pm.
We would like to place on record our huge thanks to Stratford Town owner Jed McCrory for letting us use the pitch free of charge - a magnificent gesture in our hour of need.
We would also like to thank Alvechurch and the Southern League for their co-operation.
We hope as many of the Boro faithful as possible can make the trip and get behind the boys.
We are working extremely hard to rectify the current situation but this may sadly be the last time that Boro play. Thank you for your unbelievable support.

CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT
Dan Aitchison23 Nov

Takeover announced
The club can today confirm a takeover by DA Capital.David Anderson will be joined by Nick Thompson and Robert Tidmarsh and will obtain operational control.
Jimmy will remain as First Team Manager and will hope to build on the brilliant run the team are currently on. Jimmy had this to say.
"My time as a custodian of Nuneaton Borough has come to an end. Because of the last months developments, I feel that it is now time for someone else to take over the club.David, Robert and Nick have a great knowledge of football business and understand the local aspect that make this club so special. Their expertise and ability as owners to take the club forward and deal with the challenges ahead is the best possible outcome for the survival and growth of the club. I want to thank everyone who has helped me over the years, all my sponsors, friends and especially my family for all the long hours of commitment we have put in, to build the club back up to the highlights of last seasons Play Off Final. Now I can focus fully on the football, which is what I have always wanted to do and leave the buisness of the club in good hands. The team is in a great place to challenge for promotion again and we are having a wonderful cup run, plus we have some great young players coming through our new academy that will be the long term future of the club. I urge the whole of Nuneaton to get behind the new owners and support them as well as you have supported me so we can achieve great things.
"As a club, we would like to place on record, a huge amount of thanks to Jimmy and his family for the time and effort put into the club during his time as owner. We would also like to give a special mention to Ian Cook, Stuart Elliott and the office team for all their efforts over the past few weeks. Further details to be announced in due course. UTB

EMERGENCY GROUND SHARE AGREEMENT
The Boro will play their home games at Kirkby Road until the 6th March. We are pleased to announce that following our discussions with Barwell Sports Trust and the Southern League, we have agreed an Emergency Groundshare whereby Nuneaton Borough’s home fixtures - up to 6th March - will be played at Kirkby Road. If we are unable to return to Liberty Way by that date, we will have to submit another ground share request to the FA.
In order to not conflict with Barwell FC or Hinckley AFC’s fixtures, the majority of our games at Kirkby Road will either be on a Friday evening or a Sunday afternoon.
Thank you to the FA and the Southern League, who have considered all options available to us, including ground-grading all of the possible clubs in our vicinity. Barwell FC was the closest ground to us that fulfilled the league’s ground requirements for our level. Also, thank you to Barwell FC for being able to accommodate us at such short notice, while we continue to try and resolve the situation regarding Liberty Way. We really appreciate your support in this matter. Our first game at Kirby Road will be this Sunday against Telford United. More information to follow soon.
