Last seasons promoted teams
From NPL West - Macclesfield and Workington
From NPL East - Worksop. (Long Eaton to Southern League)
From NPL Mids - (Stamford & Halesowen to Southern League)
This seasons promoted teams
From NPL West - Leek and Prescot Cables
From NPL East - Hebburn and Stockton
From NPL Mids - (Spalding and Harborough to Southern League).
Last season two of the promoted teams coming in to the NPL Premier arrived with great expectations. Both were runaway Champions. Macclesfield won the NPL West with 90 points (12 points more than their nearest rivals). Worksop won the NPL East with 99 points ( 31 points more than their nearest rivals)
This season’s promoted Champions Leek and Hebburn come into the NPL Premier next season with slightly less impressive records. Hebburn won the NPL East with 81 points and Leek won the NPL West with 78 points
Prescot Cables, Hebburn and Stockton would be new grounds for me to visit
If Leek, Hebburn and Stockton come into the NPL Premier Division there will be eight "Town" teams:
Ilkeston Town
Matlock Town
Morpeth Town
Whitby Town
Worksop Town
Leek Town
Hebburn Town
Stockton Town

Easy one for Prescott bunch of bin dippers.
Last time we went their they nicked loads of stuff off our bus
Offline
I went to Prescot as a club official posing as a director under Che Whyte's rule. There was no heating at all in the boardroom and no home officials. They offered us whisky to keep us warm. (I don't like whisky). I felt then it was a club on the way out but obviously they have recovered somewhat since!
