The 100 Club is one of the ITFC initiatives that's been added to try and get some extra income in to the club. Clubs like ours are having a really hard time of it these days; the days when clubs rely on a rich owner to pump money into the club whenever and wherever it's needed are gone. Clubs like ours have to make moves to being sustainable. And our club is doing just that, and it needs all of us to pitch in.
At the moment we only have 40 players in the monthly draw. So 40 x 10 = £400 a month income. There are generous prizes - £300 first prize, £100 second prize, and a £50 voucher to spend in the clubhouse for third prize. So at the moment we have £400 income and £450 is going out in prizes - so rather than adding funds to the club's coffers and perhaps give Deaks a little more money to spend on recruitment for the first team, we are currently losing money.
There are people working very hard behind the scenes to make sure that we all have a club to support and that the club not only survives but thrives. Your club needs you! Maybe we need a little change in attitude - less 'what can the club give me' and a bit more 'what can I give the club'. If we can get 100 players in the monthly draw, that would add £550 to the club's coffers every month. If you can spare £10 a month, please contact Zane to get entered in the 100 Club.

I can see where you are coming from Lord Trowell. The only thing I would say is that Alnwick Town my local club do a similar draw but I only pay £2 a week but thd payouts range from £300 a week up to £3,700 for a roll over. The club pick three letters every Monday night and you have to match them I pay for five letters a week. It costs £1 for four letters. When the roll over got to three grand there was a real buzz around the town! People can buy entries in a number of shops and local pubs and on the night of the draw in the clubhouse or pay by direct debit like I do!
I would suspect that the club must take about £600 a week to make the payouts about 50% of income.
I am suggesting that maybe the club could have made it a more interesting prospect for those investing in tickets.

Trowell Nicky.
What is your number on the draw?
You should have a number at that is your number.
That is how it was sold.

I've said we need a week thing.
With over 500 fans at home games and loads of kids at the club. We must have something we can sell every week

Yes, that's something I've said Alex - we all need confirmation that we're actually in the draw (a couple of people at the ground today asked if I'd seen their names in the draw). That's not doubting anyone's abilities, it's just that there could be an admin error anywhere along the line and it just might be someone has been paying for a while but hasn't actually been in the draw. It's early days, I'm sure these initial teething problems will be ironed out.
Re the type of draw we've got and how often it's held, I've no idea who decided that. Seems to be what we're going with and I'm just trying to get behind it and support it.

I did put this on here a few years back. Just go and ask the hows and whys and whats...
It's doing good work... and publishes results.

I think it would be a good idea to have a dedicated website page which lists all of the 100 club members and the prize winners each month.

White Ball will surely know, but running a website must take an investment of time (plus). Also, maybe, the 100/500 culb needs to be separate form the Club? BUT I posted two links because it looks like the lottery is advertised on the official site, but the results are posted on an independant fan's web site.
CTFC 'draws' are made at the game. I would suggest monthly results could be in a programme, but those happen less. Also, like me, not everyone who buys in is local anymore.
'Whiteball' exists... and has a good history... (one wobble). For me it's the same as the 'Robin's Nest'. So, maybe, just post results on Whiteball - if Whiteball is happy...?

I would be happy for that to happen! Only one wobble? If you only knew! The WhiteBallProject is 23 years old this year. I'm planning something big for 25th anniversary like a post without a spelling mistake!

I think we should be more pro active on here if I'm honest! it might help the club if we could post suggestions are here of how to raise funds, raise the profile, engage with the local community etc on here rather than just react to what has happened or we might bee seen as just criticising the club after the event.

City/Town Populations....
Here's an interesting thing I saw today - posted in terms of wondering about level's of support, pro rata (but worth a scroll anyway!). I'd love to be more helpful to Il'son - but I hope sometimes sharing stuff from a not too disimilar % wise fan base might been seen and read.
Never mind... Here goes... I'm thinking it could maybe be a '500 Club' for Il'son... It does not have to be supporters who buy in. Launch it too local clubs and bars... public venues. So long as people can see that Ilkeston benefits, ITFC benefits and it is suitably transparent.
I pay two x £5 a month - one for me one in my son's name (forgiving he's a Ram). I, for one, would subscribe to a more up front/open 'ITFC 'lottery'. Needing to see prizes and club benefit outcomes reported too.
Maybe revisit the package. Does the the whole thing need a review? Monthly cost (lower) and even ratio of prize awards (lower)...? And of course the transparency... There must be a doer with the skills... This has legs...

Ooops... forgot the bit you all now want to see...!
