According to the Non-League Paper, Guiseley, under new manager Mark Bower, are targeting promotion next season. Bower returned to Nethermoor Park in April after the club's playoff challenge stuttered under Andy Welsh. The former Bradford Park Avenue boss has set about strengthening his Lions squad with five summer signings which have made their rivals sit up and take notice.
Former Bradford Park Avenue striker Will Longbottom
Alfreton Town talisman Jordan Thewlis
Buxton forward Jake Wright
Vastly experienced Darlington midfielder Adriano Moke
Lebrun Mbeka from Spennymoor
Bowers siad "We're really pleased where we are at this stage. We're in a good place. We've kept the majority of last season's squad and added players of real quality."
Bowers won promotion with the Lions to Non League's top flight in 2014-15 but after suffering relegations in 2019 and 2022. The club are now hoping for a return to Step 2 next season.
