Fent-tastic Signing: Kieran Fenton Joins The Scholars

We are delighted to announce the signing of centre back Kieran Fenton from Basford United.The commanding defender has a fantastic pedigree having represented England at u20s with the likes of John Stones. He progressed through the ranks at Nottingham Forest before forging a career in non-league with Coalville, Ilkeston and recently Basford.
A natural leader, ‘Fents’ has enjoyed skippering successful sides and has multiple promotions on his CV. Mark Swann said, “We are over the moon to have Kieran in the building and this signing is a real coup for the football club. We have known him, having played against him when he was Captain at Ilkeston in the season they won the league, and we had always admired him. Our focus this summer was to bring in good characters, leaders, and players that will push us to the next level and in Kieran I feel we have a signing that ticks every one of those boxes”.
