30 minutes to kickoff. There's not many of our supporters in the clubhouse. They must all be on the. beach.
It's pleasantly dull but at least it's not raining.
Both squads are warming up on the pitch.

The teams are out. Ilkeston are in their black/maroon kit. Skegness are in white shirts and red shorts

Walker is playing on the wing. Cursons first to have a go but keeper saves. Ilkeston make the better start. Walker wins a corner but Skeg break away before Ilkeston regain possession. 0-0. 8 mins

Cursons is nearly through but is penalised when the ball accidentally hits his hand.

Now it's an Ilkeston corner. It takes Skeg a long time to clear following plenty of Ilkeston attacking possession. Brown does well in defence. Decan skates past two defenders before ball is cleared. 0-0. 23 mins

Great change of direction by Declan creates an opening. Nice Ilkeston move initiated by Brown .

Cursons effort blocked after he creates the chance for himself. Meikle is everywhere and Brown looks a much better player today.

Some good individual performances against a Skegness side which wasn't as poor as the score might suggest. James Perch playing in midfield was superb. Lindon Meikle looked the fittest player on the field, he was everywhere winning the ball and setting up attacks. Ilkeston's defence was solid in both halves with Tom Marshall central defence in the first half and Mitchell Robinson in the second half. All three of Tom Cursons's goals were well taken and we looked good going forward. Connor Brown had a better game and It's starting to look like a decent squad now. Alex Marshall is letting his manager know that he is still a decent player and now has 4 goals in the 3 friendlies.
