Looking at last nights friendly results:
It's starting to look ominous for Prescot Cables. They're looking as if they're going to struggle after being promoted last season.
The signs are also not good at Blyth Spartans. They could do a Bradford and endure successive relegations.
Basford should do better this season under Martin Carruthers. They easily beat Grantham last night.
Macclesfield, Gainsborough, Ashton, Stockton and Workington all did well against strong opposition.
Worksop are unbeaten in their pre-season friendlies and have scored 28 goals:
2nd July Retford 0 Worksop 2
6th July Worksop 6 Barton Town 3
9th July Worksop 6 Dearne 0
13th July Worksop 5 Brighouse 0
16th July Worksop 0 Buxton 0
20th July Cleethorpes 1 Worksop 2
23rd July Worksop 7 Pontefract Collieries 0

A good win and we played some nice football.
Back 4 looks good and strong, also with the added height of Robinson is going to help us.
Our midfield is ok just the same as last season.
It's going forward which worries me. To many times yesterday last night TC was isolated, having to do and cover a lot of ground without little reward and help.
It would be nice to play a 4-4-2 formation not the 4-5-1.
I understand playing this formation away from home but not at home against a team from the league below.
Overall we are in a better position than last season .

Thank you for your valued thoughts on the match, Alex
It's starting to look like Mitchell Robinson is s going to be the first choice central defender
