The Hyde match will be our 14th of 42 matches ie I/3 of the way through the season. 
Last season we had 19 points from our first 14 matches.
Before the Hyde match we have 20 points so we are already a point better than last season and a win against Hyde would put us 4 points up on last season.  
We’ve drawn 5 of our 13 matches so far. Unfortunately draws won’t get us into the playoffs. 

Why aren’t we winning more matches?
It’s not for lack of trying. Our boys give it their best shot every game. Some are carrying injuries and we aren’t always aware of this. We’ve been without key players,Declan Eratt-Thompson, James Perch and Mitch Robinson. A lot of our players are young and will get better so the best is still to come. I think we’re close to being a very decent team and we’re definitely a top half team so let's stay positive because these are good times. It’s very tight in this league and except for Worksop all of our defeats have been by the odd goal.  With 2/3s of the season still to play we have every chance of making a strong playoff challenge. We have a star striker in Tom Cursons. He gets himself into so many scoring positions. He’s happy at Ilkeston but if we lose him to a league club, then we will get good money for him. And now Harvey Kirby-Moore is starting to look a player. Trust in Deaks. He could see his potential before us supporters.

Yes it probably was but that was last season. Let's be positive. These are good times for us supporters just now.

A 3-2 victory on Saturday against Workington enabled Hyde to go above Ilkeston in the league table .They are currently two places above us in the table with 22 points (2 points more than us from the same number of games). 

They have an excellent away record  P6, W3, D2, L1,  F11, A10,  Pts11
Their away wins were at Bamber Bridge 2-1, Matlock 4-1 and Mickleover  2-1. They drew at Macclesfield 1-1 and Morpeth 2-2  and lost at Guiseley 0-4 

Last season we drew 1-1 in this fixture

It's Tuesday Night MATCH DAY  and we really want to win this one because it's 45 days since our last home win against Whitby on 7th September 

Since then we've: lost to Hereford, drawn with Ashton, lost to Coleshill and drawn with Guiseley

We are overdue an emphatic home win and tonight could be the night when the goals fly in.

Key player Declan Eratt-Thompson is expected to start and he could make a big difference.

Hyde are currently above us in the league but a win tonight would take us above them and would lift us from 8th to 4th place.

Early chance for Ilkeston but Hiddleston smothers the ball on his goal line.  First corner to Ilkeston.  At the other end Redshaw cuts inside and brings a diving save from Yates.      0-0.   7 mins

Defensive misunderstanding nearly gifts Hyde a goal but Redshaw couldn't head in with most of the goal gaping.    0-0.  13 mins
