The 2023-24 record inclues 5 league matches when Gary Hayward was manager which resulted in 2 wins and 3 defeats.

It seems incredible that we’ve gone into the top five without putting a run together. The fact is that all of the “top” teams except Macclesfield are dropping points every week. Such is the similar quality of all of the teams in this league.  Macclesfield appear to be running away with the league but the four playoff places are a realistic target for at least half of the other teams in the league including Gainsborough and Matlock currently in the bottom four. It’s inexplicable how Worksop have lost 4 of their last 5 matches and not many people expected Hebburn and Stockton to be in the top four. If we could put a good run together and get gates up to the 700 plus mark, then we have a real chance of finishing in the playoffs. But there’s a long way to go and nothing can be taken for granted.
