Saturday is the first of two crucial home games against higher opposition . Hebburn were promoted last season as Champions of NPL East Division with 81 points from 38 matches.
They've hit the ground running this season and are in 5th position with two points more than Ilkeston.
Hebburn's away record is: P9, W4, D2, L3, F14, A13, Points 14
Ilkeston's home record is : P8, W4, D4, L0. F19, A10, Points 16

A win against playoff rivals Hebburn would really boost our chances of making the playoffs. We have 3 more matches to play before we reach the half way point in the season and we’re currently 6 points better than last season.
This season. Position 6th P18, W8, D5, L5, F35, A27, Pts 29
Last season. Position 13th P18, W7, D2, L9, F31, A30, Pts 23
Six points from our next 3 matches against Hebburn, Worksop and Whitby would give us 35 points at the season’s halfway point. If we could then get the same points in the second half of the season, giving us 70 points in total, then we would almost certainly make the playoffs
Last season 2023-24 Worksop took the final playoff place with 70 points
2022-23 Matlock took the final playoff spot with 68 points
2021-22 Warrington took the final playoff spot with 71 points

Hebburn are currently two points ahead of Ilkeston so a win would enable us to leapfrog them into a playoff position.
Impressive wins at Hyde and Worksop show that Hebburn are a decent side away from home.
Ilkeston are unbeaten at home in the league after eight games winning our last two against Hyde 3-2 and Blyth 3-0.
Results of matches against rival playoff contenders can be crucial come the end of the season so this match is sure to be a tight contest with neither side wanting to lose.

I am hearing that the Hebburn match is Danny's last game before a new media team takes over.
If you see him be sure to thank him for all he has done for Ilkeston Town FC.

The next two matches, both at home, against playoff rivals Hebburn and Worksop, could determine the outcome of our season.
Of the two, Hebburn is the must win game. We will be hoping for at least 4 points from the two.
A win against Hebburn and a draw against Worksop would be acceptable to me.
I'm thinking Macclesfield, Worksop and Guiseley will take the top three places so if we want to finish in the two other playoff positions, then we really need to take all 3 points against Hebburn tomorrow.

As we head towards the festive period in the Northern Premier League, the action continues to come thick and fast, with 10 games taking place this weekend.
Macclesfield tasted defeat for the first time in the league this season in midweek, losing 2-1 away at Mickleover. The Silkmen are on their travels again and will be looking to avoid a second loss in the space of a few days against a Workington side who climbed into the top half on Tuesday after a 2-0 win over Basford United.
Mickleover, who moved out of the bottom four with their victory on Tuesday, will be aiming to put further ground between themselves and the relegation places when they head to Broadhurst Park to take on FC United of Manchester. FC United are still the only side yet to win in front of their home fans, amassing three draws and five defeats from their eight home league games so far. A win for Mark Beesley’s side would see them move within two points of their visitors, with a couple of games in hand.
Elsewhere, second-placed Guiseley host Warrington Rylands, who fell into the bottom four after Tuesday’s results. Guiseley are searching for their fifth win in a row as they look to apply some pressure to leaders Macclesfield.
Elsewhere, third hosts fourth as Worksop Town welcome Stockton Town to Sandy Lane. Both sides will be eager to pick up three points which would see them retain their top-five berth and keep the chasing pack at bay.
Hebburn Town, who currently occupy the final play-off spot, travel to Ilkeston Town, who are right behind them in sixth.Only two points separate the sides going into this weekend's clash. Ian Deakin’s Robins will be aiming for a win to keep their unbeaten home record alive whilst leapfrogging the visitors with a win.
Towards the foot of the table, Blyth Spartans will be hoping to build on Michael Connor’s first point in charge of the club in midweek when they host Hyde United. Bamber Bridge are another who will be hoping to rise up the table following the draw at Blyth. This weekend, they travel to Leek Town. Leek’s form at Harrison Park leaves much to be desired, winning just one of their nine games at home this season. They’ll be aiming to win their second against a Brig side with just one win in seven.
Two of the form sides in the division go head-to-head as Morpeth Town welcome Matlock Town to Craik Park.Despite losing their last two, Morpeth still have four wins in their last six, while Ryan Cresswell’s Gladiators have three wins and a draw to show from their games during the same time, including a resounding 4-0 win over Blyth last time out.
Basford United will be aiming to pick up their form after four losses in their last six when they travel to an Ashton United side who are keen to keep pace with the play-offs. And Whitby Town will be hoping to pick up a second straight league win against Lancaster City, who have only lost one in their last eight, picking up four draws in that time. All games are set to kick off at 3pm, unless otherwise stated.

Every point counts this season. Every point has to be won. There are no easy matches. It's not impossible that Matlock in 16th position or Gainsborough in 18th place could make the playoffs. It's that wide open and Ilkeston are in there with a chance. It could be our year.

It's MATCHDAY
Will we be in the playoff positions come 5 o'clock tonight?
Only a win will make it happen
And we could go 4th if Stockton lose at Worksop.
Before the season started; who would have thought Blyth Spartans and FC United would be the bottom two?
