Having only watched one game in two seasons my knowledge of current form is based on what fans post on here. The one game I watched was against Mickleover and from what I was told it was not their best performance of the season. I felt Ilkeston looked the better team from the start but Mickleover grew in confidence as the game progressed and the score line was still 0-0. The best thing about Ilkeston was the fact they did not get too frustrated and kept plugging away. They got their reward on 88 minutes through top scorer Tom Cursons. It was not a worldie but he was in the right place at the right time. This is a skill which is intuitive and I remember Gary Lineker saying he scored most of his goals in the six yard box and he said he always made for certain places in the box but could not explain how he knew where to go and that it was almost like a sixth sense. It would appear that Tom has this which might be why so many scouts have been watching him.
