    Re Sam Essien signing 

    Here are a few comments from Matlock fans:  

    Paul Bryan   Good enough for Ilkeston ( 6th ) but can’t get a game for Matlock ( 19th ) 

    Lee Wragg   Sad he's left, but good luck in the future Sam Essien, at Ilkeston. 

    Joseph Parkinson   Was caught 3 times this season alone playing in our local Rotherham Sunday morning league as a ringer. 

    Steven Paxton   This is crap news we should be keeping players of his caliber
     
    Ady Riley   Manager obviously doesn’t fancy him, if he isn’t going to play what’s the point in keeping him here. Personally, I thought he was a very good player. 

    Andy Johnson   Quality player, when fully fit !!Don't understand this at all !!!!!

    Apparently Deaks has been trying  to get a striker but has been unsuccessful in two approaches so far.

    I don't want to sound old school but if you sign a defender isn't his 1st job to defend?
