Today is the start of a crucial football weekend with teams in our league playing two of their final three matches. Promotion and relegation is at stake. Six points to be played for. Relegation to be avoided and playoffs places to be secured.

In the NPL Premier League the final playoff place is contested by Ashton and Ilkeston while Matlock, Whitby, Workington, Bamber Bridge, Lancaster and Hebburn battle to avoid the final relegation position.



In the NPL Step4 East Division - Cleethorpes are definitely promoted.
In the NPL Step 4 Midlands Division - Quorn are definitely promoted
In the NPL Step 4 West Division - Widnes or Hednesford will be Champions.


Who will make the NPL Step4 playoffs:  

In the East Division it's wide open.  The playoff contenders look like being four from the following seven teams:
Dunston,              75 pts
Belper,                 72 pts
Newton Aycliffe,  71 pts 
Emley,                 71 pts

Stocksbridge,      69 pts 
North Ferriby       66 pts
Carlton                65 pts

In the Midands Division the four in playoff positions are Corby, Anstey Nomads, Long Eaton and Worcester. 
Sporing Khalsa have an outside chance but are 5 points adrift

In the West Division, the playoff contenders look like being Hednesford or Widnes, plus Vauxhall, Congleton and Chaseown.  Stalybridge Celtic have an outside chance but are 5 points adrift,
