FA Allocations confirmed

The FA has released its club allocations for the 2025/26, which means the make-up of the Northern Premier League divisions has been confirmed. The champions of the NPL East and West Divisions, Cleethorpes Town and Widnes, take up their place in the NPL Premier for the first time, alongside the respective play-off winners from those divisions, Stocksbridge Park Steels and Hednesford Town. Rushall Olympic and Warrington Town both return to the NPL following their relegations from National League North. In the East Division, Blyth Spartans and Matlock Town drop down from the NPL Premier while there is a reprieve for Brighouse Town following the withdrawal of Bemerton Heath Harlequins, as they had the best record of the clubs finishing in the relegation places at step 4.
Five clubs join from Step 5, including the return of Lincoln United alongside Blyth Town, Hallam, Redcar Athletic and Silsden. The other two sides relegated from NPL Premier, Basford United and Mickleover, drop in to the Midlands Division, where they are joined by Belper Town and Carlton Town through lateral movement. Four clubs come up to the Midlands Division from Step 5 - Bourne Town, Lichfield City, Rugby Borough and St Neots Town. In the West Division, there is a reprieve for Wythenshawe Town following Farsley Celtic failing to be awarded a Step 1-4 club licence and requesting to be considered for placement at Step 5 or 6. Wythenshawe Town are joined in the West by Bury, Lower Breck and Shifnal Town following promotion, as well as Darlaston Town and Sporting Khalsa through lateral movement.

Midlands Division (Step 4, 22 clubs): AFC Rushden & Diamonds, Anstey Nomads, Basford United, Bedworth United, Belper Town, Boldmere St Michaels, Bourne Town, Carlton Town, Coleshill Town, Corby Town, Coventry Sphinx, Hinckley LR, Lichfield City, Long Eaton United, Loughborough Students, Mickleover, Racing Club Warwick, Rugby Borough, Shepshed Dynamo, St Neots Town, Sutton Coldfield Town, Wellingborough Town 

West Division (Step 4, 22 clubs): Atherton Collieries, Avro, Bootle, Bury, Chasetown, Clitheroe, Congleton Town, Darlaston Town, Kidsgrove Athletic, Lower Breck, Mossley, Nantwich Town, Newcastle Town, Runcorn Linnets, Shifnal Town, Sporting Khalsa, Stafford Rangers, Stalybridge Celtic, Trafford, Vauxhall Motors, Witton Albion, Wythenshawe Town:

Step 4 NPL Midlands contains 5 local teams: Basford, Belper, Carlton, Long Eaton, and Mickleover
