The season before last, Hebburn Town won the NPL East and were promoted along with playoff winners Stockton Town. Last season it was Stockton who finished higher but Hebburn believe that their major ground development plans could be a game changer and could give them the best setup outside of the profession clubs in the North East.
The Hornets have announced plans for a major redevelopment of their Hebburn Sports Ground home. The plan is to have two 3G pitches plus a new South Stand which will house changing rooms, a gym, offices and a club shop along with a new community building. There are also plans to extend the 'Sportsy Bar" which has become popular with the local community during the week as well as on match days.
Hebburn started last season well and were in the top six until January but a decline in results saw them finish 14th.
