Sandiacre Town have taken a massive gamble by giving untried Jamie Williamson the job of manager. They finished 17th of 19 teams last season in the United Counties league Division One (Step 6). They finished in a relgation position but were given a reprieve as the number of teams in the league was increased from 19 to 22 next season.

We’re delighted to announce our new management team for the 2025/26 campaign. Our new first team manager is Jamie Williamson (Willo) who joins us from Basford Utd & will be assisted by Anthony Spencer who has masses amounts of experience in the game.

Not sure who is who but the “ young” lad on the left looks like he’s u 18 ‘s skipper

Willo is still a teenager is he not! Anthony Spencer programme notes used to be very special! But good to see Ex Robinx getting on in the management business!

We can confirm that Jamie Williamson has exited his contract and left the club by mutual agreement. Jamie joined the Ambers in January, signing a Step 3 contract and going on to make 10 appearances. While his departure comes as a surprise, we thank Willo for his efforts during his time at the club and wish him well for the future.

I’m sure this will come as a huge shock to 95% of people but for me it’s a huge opportunity to manage at step 6 at just 23 years of age whilst still playing too. I’m looking forward to working with Tony Spencer again as we continue to believe in the talented group of young players we have. A big thanks to Matt Johnson & Liam for believing in the project!
