    Who will we play in our opening league game?

    Who will we play on our opening league match?

    Incredibly Ilkeston have not lost an opening day league match since 27 Aug 2016


    Our previous opening league games: 

    2024-25   Gainsborough   (Home)   draw 2-2
    2023-24   Marske United  (Away)      won 3-1  
    2022-23   Tamworth          (Away)    draw 1-1
    2021-22   Stamford           (Away)     won  3-1
    2021-22   Cleethorpes      (Away)     won  3-2
    2019-20   Cleethorpes      (Home)    draw 0-0
    2018-19    Stourport          (Home)     won 3-2
    2017-18.   Uttoxeter          (Away)     draw 1-1
    2016-17.   Ashton Utd.      (Home)     lost  0-2

    If we get a home game then we will be away on Tuesday evening and away again the following Saturday. 
    If so, let's hope it's not a long distance game on the Tuesday.

    I think I would rather play away first match followed by two home games.

    Whitby or Cleethorpes away first match would be great.

    Hope we don't get the dreaded blank Saturday.
