I am and I'm not. Not a fan of pre season.
I wish we could do the derbyshire senior cup in pre season. I think it would be more interesting.

Good Idea Regards Derbyshire Senior Cup. Interesting to see if the Club has any Trailist's in Pre-Season. Still think we are a Couple of Players Short. Especially a Striker.

That idea may suit us and the other "bigger" teams but the Derbyshire Senior Cup is important for the "smaller" clubs who appreciate the chance to play against the likes of Ilkeston.
No reason why the six above clubs couldn't get to together and create an annual local tournament though played on a league basis. Each team playing five matches on a Tuesday night as you said.

Only 5 days to go now.
It's always interesting to see the new players and we have two new arrivals in key positions, Dylan Wharton (goalkeeper) and Robbie Fox (striker).
As far as I'm aware this is our squad (18 players) 13 retained plus 5 new.
Goalkeepers:
Mitchell Leivers, Dylan Wharton
Defenders:
Sam Parker, Callum Minkley, Tom Marshall, Tyler Whyle.
Midfield:
Connor Dixon, Colin Daniel, Sam Essien, Logan Green. Matt Thornhill, AJ Greaves.
Forwards
L’Varn Brandy, Harvey Kirby-Moore, Jamie Waker, Jordan Stevens, Alex Marshall, Robbie Fox.

Yeh, spot on that squad I think John.
Just a heads-up for anyone who was planning to watch first team training tomorrow night on their first day back, they're not at the ground tomorrow, it's a session at a kettlebell gym.

Defence looks abit Light John. Wouldn't be Surprised to see another Defender come in.

Yes, I'm showing only four defenders but Jamie Walker can play full back if needed and maybe Matt Thornhill could too. Players like Walker, who are accomplished in more than one position, are like gold to a manager.
No doubt there will be a few trialists looking for a club and another defender coming in, is a possibility.
