I see my neighbour's lad, Jack Bearne (was at Liverpool academy for years) had left hednesford for Oxford City. He had about 25 assists and 15 goals last season for Hednesford... I wonder if losing him will affect them?

We can confirm that an undisclosed compensation fee has been agreed for Jack Bearne to join @OxCityFC for the 2025/26 season. Jack has been an outstanding player for the Pitmen and will always be remembered as our Play-Off Final hero, securing the goal that sealed our promotion - a special moment in club history. We’d like to take this opportunity to wish him all the very best at Oxford City. You’ll always be part of our story, Jack #UpThePitmen #NonLeagueNews #PlayerUpdate

Like newly promoted Macclesfield two seasons ago Hednesford are red hot favourites to win the league. Macclesfield couldn't make it two successive promotions and had to wait till the following season.
Can Hednesford go one better? Like Macclesfield they have the money and the support.
They are totally reliant on their owner but the fans who have been starved of success for years have responded to the owner's investment. (over 600 season tickets sold )
Hednesford come to Ilkeston on Saturday Dec 13th. Let's hope they bring plenty of support to swell our gate.
