FC United complete signing of Andre Wisdom

FC United of Manchester have announced the signing of experienced defender Andre Wisdom. The 32-year-old former Liverpool player was most recently playing in the League of Ireland with Derry City. Wisdom has featured at the highest levels of football since making his debut for Brendan Rodgers' Reds in 2012, going on to represent Derby County, West Bromwich Albion, Norwich City and Red Bull Salzburg. He links back up with FC United manager Mark Beesley, with the pair initially working together at Warrington Town in their debut campaign in the National League North in 2023/24. Beesley's side finished 17th in NPL Premier Division last season, and Wisdom's arrival reflects the club's “ongoing commitment to building a competitive and ambitious squad ahead of the new season”.
