Hot on the heels of our victory at Morpeth we go again against Gainsborough Trinity on Tuesday night.
Gainsborough are expected to be promotion challengers this season but they lost their first game against Ashton United. They will be smarting from that defeat and keen to make up for it when they come to the NMG.
It was always going to be a tough game and now it will be even tougher.
Ilkeston played well at Morpeth and will want to capitalise that result

Also noticed that margetts didn't start for them yesterday. He always scores past us.

Can we build on our opening win at Morpeth? Two seasons ago we won our opening three matches under Gary Hayward against Marske, Gainsborough and Workington. A repeat of that start would be brilliant.

Gainsborough Trinity was our opening home game last season and we drew 2-2 after twice being behind. We also drew 0-0 in the away game.

We need another win to keep the momentum going. There will be loads of optimism after Saturday's performance but no result can be taken for granted.

Gainsborough were a very good side last season and I didn't expect them to be so soundly beaten by Ashton United but maybe they're not so good without Declan Howe up front. I know that they now have Margetts but he's not so energetic as Howe.

Gainsborough will not want to lose both of their opening matches so we can expect a tough game.
