After three consecutive defeats we travel to 2nd in the table Lancaster City who have picked up 16 points from their last 6 matches (5 wins and a draw).

To an outsider this looks like a home win banker. But despite losing at Hednesford we played well enough to get at least a point. So will we have a change of luck at the Giant Axe?

Last season we lost 3-4 at Lancaster with each side scoring three times in the first half

The season before that we won 4-0 with a Jamie Walker hat-trick after Tyrell Waite had been sent off half way through the first half.

L’Varn Brandy was on crutches at training tonight and is expected to be out for 6-8 weeks. That’s three key players missing for the Lancaster match with Marshall and Daniel suspended.

Deaks tried a much tougher approach at training demanding more from his players. He let them know that if results don't improve, changes will be made.

Away travel to The Giant Axe, home of Lancaster City FC - Sat 13th Sep 2025

Supporters Group coach leaves ground 8 am after picking up at Kirk Hallam and Market Place.

For supporters travelling on the team coach, the coach leaves the ground at 9 30 am

Journey time is approx 4 hours including a 30-45 minute stop

The Supporters Group coach will arrive in Lancaster around midday with plenty of time for sight seeing, eating and drinking before going to the match in time for the kick off at 3pm
£25 per person

The Players coach goes straight to the ground arriving around 1 30pm. £20 per person

It’s MATCH DAY again and it’s an early get up for all of our brilliant away supporters travelling to The Big Axe.

Lancaster City are the Northern Premier League's No 1 form team with 16 points from their last six matches so it’s another really tough game.

There’s only two matches being played in our league today due to it being an FA Cup day so if we can get a result it's a chance to climb up the table.

Hope the game is as good as the last one at Hednesford but with a better outcome.

Good tackle by Janneh averts danger. Now Ilkeston free kick in good position. Janneh gets a head on it but it’s wide. Great cross by Bailey for City finds a head but that’s well wide too. Youmbi wins a corner but it’s cleared. 0-0. 7 mins
