The month ahead

By the end of February we should know if Walsall Wood are going to be champions. If that becomes clear then the race for second place is wide open with possibly seven teams in with a shout. The following are games this month which could have a bearing on final positions

Sat Feb 3rd :   Heather St Johns v Atherstone

Sat Feb 10th :  Leicester Road v R C Warwick
                         Studley v Walsall Wood

Wed Feb 14th :  Atherstone  v  R C Warwick

Sat Feb 17th :  Hinckley AFC  v  Studley
                         Ilkeston  v  Heather St John

Re: The month ahead

We need a massive collapse in form for Walsall Wood ifs we are to have any chance of catching them. I know a lot of pundits moan about the size of their budget but they are beatable as we proved a while ago. They still have to win game even if they are being paid a fortune and the wage bill will just put extra pressure on them. Looking at their results you have to say in almost all their they have been just far too good for the opposition. I think we are playing for second place now and hopefully with all the reorganisation we might sneak up to the MFL Prem other wise I think we end up n the East Midlands Counties League.
