Alnwick Town v Newcastle University 04.10.25

Alnwick Town face Newcastle University this afternoon looking to make it this three wins after their defeats of Yarm and Eaglescliffe in the league and Prudhoe Youth Club  Northumberland Senior Cup last Tuesday. I completely missed the game on Tuesday and unfortunately missed a cracking Gazza style free kick from Jamie Clark. Luckily the club filmed it so the much maligned X to the rescue!

3-0 down at half time and Universirty have been gifted at least two of the goals! A lot of work for the Wick to do kicking up the hill!

Re: Alnwick Town v Newcastle University 04.10.25

Alnwick were undone by some poor defending in the first half and the fact they do not have a sub keeper on the bench Lloyd bravely volunteered to go in goal after Carr was injured however as I mentioned earlier he was reluctant to use his hands and always looked like he might concede a goal. Alnwick fought hard in the second half and dominated most of the possession but 3-0 down was too big a mountain to climb.
