Sat 15 Nov 25: Ilkeston v Curzon Ashton (FA Trophy 2nd Round) NMG 3pm

This is the big one for us. Our FA Trophy 2nd Round opponents Curzon Ashton are currently 7th in the National League North.
This is Curzon’s 11th season in the National league North and the last two seasons have been their best.
Last season they finished 8th just outside the playoff positions and in 2023-24 they finished 7th.
This is despite having home gates of around 400 (one of the lowest in the league)
Second round winners receive £3750, losers receive £1000

If I'm right in thinking they have a forward called Alex curren. He played for Macclesfield not last season the season before. We have nothing to lose. Bring them on

Curzon Ashton have a good away record this season with only one defeat on the road so far. That was a 3-2 loss at Macclesfield.

Anticipation is building for this important FA Trophy match.
Ilkeston have come through two previous rounds to get to this 2nd round proper tie
We have beaten Evesham United in a qualifying round and St Ives Town in the 1st round.
Step 3 side Curson Ashton of the National League North, are entering the competition at this round.
Although Curson Ashton play at a higher level than us, there’s a real feeling that we can win this match and progress to the 3rd round.
Please come and show your support for the Robins.
We are expecting a bigger than normal attendance for this game so please arrive early if you can.
