The slump goes on. When you’re on a losing run it’s very difficult to turn things round. I always say that whoever scores first wins the match. When you’re chasing an equaliser you’re more likely to concede again from a counter attack. The team is trying but have failed to score in the last four matches.

Todays attendance of 210 is unfortunately the lowest since we reformed as Ilkeston Town!

The attendance wasn't even 270, it was 210.

Sorry a Typo but still worrying!

One plus point ( the only one) from yesterday was that we finished with 11 men.
swinnys last 2 post match interviews have benn “ not good enough things have got to change”, not seen any and how it going to happen.
1) Rotate players positions
2) Move some out
3) Bring some in
4) Is there a net cost to 2&3 and with attendances down dramatically can we afford to
5) loan players, but the ones we had previously have not been up to it ( Seth being the exception).
We lost 5 on the trot then went 7 unbeaten and now we’re back on another losing run but with the same squad of players??.
Discipline ! Nobody to blame but the players
Injuries - unlucky but happens to most teams
Goalscorer(s) we can’t even share them around the team never mind relying on Fox and HKM,
At this rate we will be replaced in the premier league by 2 out of 3 from Belper, Carlton and Basford.
In Deaks we trust.

Yes it was the lowest in the NPL Premier Division as well I believe. I have always had a lot of faith in Ian Deakin and his staff but at some point I can see the club having to make a difficult decision. On one hand the club are spending a fortune on improved facilities but the Ilkeston public are not enamoured by the football being served up. The club are only three points above eighteenth place and have three games coming up against in form teams. I cannot see Ilkeston getting many points from these games. Listening to the Stocksbridge Radio feed it was a bit worrying to hear the Ilkeston section of the stand barracking their own team and then trying to blame the referee. I hope Stockbridge don’t keep a tape of the commentary as it could be an embarrassing listen for Ilkeston. On a positive note the last time we felt this low we went on a run of four straight wins which took us to the edge of the play offs!

Great post silverfoxx. - aptly describes our predicament
You're right about the loan players, Apart from Seth Okyere, they've been a disappintment.
Sam Parker and Tom Marshall are our key players. Without them we struggle.
One way or another we could have a local derby next season (with Carlton, Belper, Basford)
The team's results have nosedived just as things are going so well off the field with the new clubhouse.

“Unofficial” have posted that admission is down to £5 for the next home match.
I thought “that’s a good offer by the Club to the fans”. Then I realised that the next home match is against Borrowash Victoria in the Derbyshire Senior Cup.

I'm sorry guys but in my eyes it's time for a change.
Major mistakes by the manager this season
1. Let's the best keeper outside of the conference go.
2. Not sorting out a RB,LB and CH until 10 league games into the season.
3. Not replacing TC. Yes we know it's hard to find another like him.
Our management moan about money but yesterday we lost to a side who's wage isn't EVEN half of our budget.

i was in the stand and i was slating the ref mainly because he let their players get away fouls that should have been punished . Yes i was moaning about the players but that was in general conversation but a certain person was slagging the players off quote loudly ...........
I personally thought when Fox and Blaise came on we looked a better going forward . obviously injuries and suspensions dont help our cause ...

I say let’s not press the panic button. Deaks is a passionate manager which sometimes gets him into trouble. But he genuinely wants this club to be successful and the least he deserves is a chance to turn things down.

Problem is his passion as got him in trouble
He can't led us from his settee.
The price to get in £13 for this standard of football is shocking.
Yes the football wasnt great the away grounds wasn't great but we are a step 5 club playing step 3 football. Why should our chairman pay out of his pocket.

Who'd be a football manager eh? Ashton United's manager, Steve Cunningham after they lost 4-2 at Guiseley after being 2-0 up at half time. Calls his own players cowards and weak, and sounds like he got it from his own fans and the Guiseley fans.
