Our next game is at home to Lancaster City who are currently 6th in the league table, just outside the playoff places.
Lancaster have the 4th best away record in the league
Their overall record is P23. W10. D6. L7. F.31 A24 . Pts36
Their away record is. P12. W5. D3. L4. F18. A14. Pts18
in Sep/ Oct they held top spot for 5 weeks and they have been in the top six all season.
However they have recently hit a bad patch and have picked up only one point in their last 4 matches so maybe its a good time to be playing against them.
Lancaster's last 4 matches:
13 Dec '25 Rylands (A) Lost 0-1
20 Dec '25 FCUnited. (A) Lost 1-2
26 Dec '25 Bamber Bridge (H) Lost 1-3
01 Jan '26 Workington (A) Draw 1-1

Lancaster are looking for promotion and sent two officials to watch our match against Morpeth. It’s sure to be a keenly contested game because we need the points to pull away from the other end of the table.
A win would move us towards mid table and a defeat would leave us among the relegation possibles.
These are Saturday’s fixtures involving teams below us:
Rushall v Stocksbridge 3 points available for one of these
Prescot v Whitby Fair chance of a Prescot win
Bamber Bridge v Hyde Difficult game for Hyde
Morpeth v Gainsborough Possibly a home point for Morpeth
Leek v Cleethorpes Possibly a home point for Leek
Workington no match
On Tuesday 20th Jan
Leek v Hyde 3 points available for one of these
Current positions:
Played Points
14th Ilkeston 25 30
15th Rushall 23 27
16th. Prescot 23 25
17th. Hyde 22 25
18th. Morpeth 24 25
-----------------------------------------------

Big chance for Yawson on the break after the first 5 minutes saw. all the play in City’s half. Yawson should have scored but Roberts managed to save his weak effort. Now a free kick to City just outside area. Parker has to concede a corner

Lancaster suddenly looking a good side. Craig header goes wide. Chance for Evangelinos. He looked offside but lino kept flag down. He only had Roberts to beat but Ilkeston keeper did really well to block his shot

Great play by Kirby-Moore but he can’t quite find Fox. More good defending by Ilkeston. Lancaster are going for broke. Kirby-Moore replaced by While. Sam Parker gets MOTM. It’s a pen for Lancaster.
Roberts saves it. It’s all going our way today. still 3-0. 83 mins
