After a season of no local derbies, next season could be different. Assuming we staying the Northern Premier League there is a possibility of several local reams joining us.
Carlton look sure to be promoted as they are currently 17 points clear in the NPL Midlands Division, They could be joined by one of Belper, Basford or Long Eaton via the playoffs.
Everyone is expecting Matlock to get promoted from the NPL East and Alfreton could be relegated from the National League North.

Looking ahead to next season
First we have to ensure that we stay at Step 3
Then there's the possibility of us being switched to the Southern League.
We have a great football club with great facilities but after all that has happened at Ilkeston this season which has resulted in so many disagreements on and off the field, changes look inevitable for next season. I’ve never known a situation like we now have with so much supporter disunity.
On the field we need to:
improve results
improve the club’s disciplinary record
Off the field we need to:
attract more supporters at home games
attract more supporters to away games
find a way of financing the SG away travel
find a way of uniting all supporters

I think we will be pushed south if we stop up.
Got to think 3 leagues coming into this league and all of the teams are north of us. Then the play offs it could be another 3 teams north of us.
Maybe 2 teams coming down north of us as well.
Top and bottom of it is that we have to stop up 1st 😂😂

Carlton Town must be further south than us?
