Warrington Rylands 3 Ilkeston Town 1
It was a case of "After the Lord Mayor's Show" for Ilkeston following their Cup semi final victory over Belper. The visit to promotion chasers Warrington Rylands was always going to be tough and so it proved in torrential rain on a sodden pitch. Ilkeston had the better of the first half but were hit by a Ben Hardcastle goal just before half time. Second half goals by Harrison Wood and Patrick Gamble put the game beyond Ilkeston before Daniel Odunaiya pulled one back.
Defences dominated the first half with Ilkeston having more possession but failing to create opportunities. Jamie Walker fired an early free kick wide before Charlie Carter won the ball and set Robbie Fox free down the left but his cross was well defended. The best chance of the half fell to Rylands but Alfie Roberts produce a fine save before a follow up effort cleared the crossbar. As half time approached Ryland’s started to threaten and Hardcastle got the decisive break through goal with a close range finish.
Ilkeston could have equalised in the opening minutes of the second half when Rylands keeper Pilling produced a super save to deny Robbie Fox. This was quickly followed up by two quick fire Ilkeston efforts which were blocked. Ilkeston’s early pressure was ended by a Rylands counter. Kiwomya’s initial effort was stopped by Roberts but Harrison Wood was on hand to stab the ball home on 55 minutes. There was a way back for the Robins when Walker created a real chance for Fox who couldn’t connect properly in the clinging mud. Rylands punished Ilkeston with a third goal when Patrick Gamble headed in a free kick. Ilkeston reduced the arrears through Odunaiya, his first in an Ilkeston shirt on 76 minutes. The final 15 minutes saw Ilkeston force Rylands to defend and Pilling was fortunate when Walker’s shot on the turn was straight at him and he could grab it at the second attempt.

SATURDAY 21 Feb 2026 RESULTS
Ashton United 1-2 Stockton Town
A Kev Hayes brace saw Stockton come from behind to take the points at Ashton. Enock Lusiama had given the Robins an early lead before Hayes struck twice in the second half to give Stockton a valuable win.
Bamber Bridge 1-1 Whitby Town
Bamber Bridge and Whitby had to settle for a point each as they drew 1-1. Jamie Allen had given Brig a very early lead only for Matt Tymon to equalise for Whitby. Neither side could find a winner in the 2nd half.
Cleethorpes Town 0-0 Rushall Olympic
Neither side could find the net as Cleethorpes and Rushall played put a goalless draw.
FC United 1-1 Gainsborough Trinity
The points were shared as two playoff contenders clashed at Broadhurst Park. Harrison Beeden had given Gainsborough a first half lead only for Adam Le Fondre to equalise for FC, neither side could find a winner.
Guiseley 4-0 Warrington Town
Guiseley went goal crazy as Warrington Town's slump continued. First half goals from Lebrun Mbeka, Elliot Owen and Ollie Brown were added to by Jordan Thewlis in the second half as the Lions roared up to 10th in the league.
Hednesford Town 3-0 Lancaster City
Hednesford got their first win under Kelvin Davis as they brushed aside Lancaster City. Montel Gibson's brace was added to by Omari Sterling-James as the Pitmen reclaimed top spot in the league.
Leek Town 0-0 Hebburn Town
Hebburn dropped down to second in the lead as they couldn't find a way past Leek. Both teams had chances in the game but neither could find an elusive breakthrough.
Rylands strengthened their grip on the playoff places with victory over Ilkeston. Goals from Ben Hardcastle
Stocksbridge Park Steels 2-1 Prescot Cables
Stocksbridge gave their survival hopes a boost as they overcame Prescot. Steels took the lead through James Morris only for Tony Donaldson to level for Cables, Stocksbridge took the points thanks to Tom Marshall's strike.
Warrington Rylands 3-1 Ilkeston Town
Rylands strengthened their grip on the playoff places with victory over Ilkeston. Goals from Ben Hardcastle,Harrison Wood and Patrick Gamble ensured the win, Daniel Odunaiya netted a consolation for Ilkeston.
Workington 1-0 Morpeth Town
A late goal gave 10 man Workington a priceless victory over Morpeth. Charlie Barnes has been sent off for the Reds before Luke Hunter scored with just 2 minutes left to play.
