Ilkeston are kicking towards the car park end.  Good Ilkeston move but it ends with Bennett shooting wide. Very nearly goal for Ilkeston as header hits underside of the bar and bounces on the line before being cleared.       5 minutes

Good effort by Lench which keeper has to push over.  Bloomer sees Deakin off his line but Deakin recovers his position to make the save.

It's all Ilkeston but they can't score. Good headed clearance under pressure by Jemson. Rasper from Hopkinson but keeper saves well. Lucky escape for Ilkeston as Pershore forward's shot takes a deflection and nearly finds net.     0-0    33 minutes

Malachi nearly scores straight away  but his first time shot is blocked.

Ilkeston are pushing forward but the ball is not falling for them. Fairclogh crosses but no one on the end of it. Hopkinson goes down on edge of area but ref waves play on. Good effort by Ntamark at the other end goes just the wrong side of the upright. Ilkeston are piling on pressure but Wilcox is stopping everything.   
Fairclough replaced by Lavell White on 73 minutes.

Cracking game in my opinion.It was Ilkeston's atttack against the Pershore defence. Although under almost constant pressure the Pershore defenders and keeper Wilcox very nearly held out. Ilkeston battered them continuously but couldn't find a way through until the 84th minute when Hopkinson finally scored. There were so many near misses that it seemed like we were destined not to get the winner. Wilcox was outstanding in the Pershore goal and there was some desperate defending. Pershore relied on breaks out of defence and Charlie Ntamark and Terrence Morton  were lively but  Ilkeston's defence was stong with Jemson outstanding. Up front Tim Hopkinson and Jamie Walker provided the goal threat. Although the winner came late it a was well deserved victory. It may have been very different if Hopkinson's header after 5 minues had been judged to have crossed the line after hitting the underside of the bar. The players reaction was that it was a goal but the referee looked to the linesman then waved play on.
