At the top of the league is no change as Hebburn and Hednesford are on 7371 points points . FC United are third with but have a game in hand (the Stockton game). Rylands, Gainsborough and Stockton cannot win the title but two out of three will be in the play offs! At the bottom it is any three from seven but Stocksbridge and Prescot Cables look doomed. Morpeth's last game against Warrington Town looks like being a massive game for the Highwaymen!

Northern Premier League
Ilkeston Town 2 Bamber Bridge 0
Step 3 football for another season was finally assured for Ilkeston following a 2-0 home win over Bamber Bridge after goals by Daniel Odunaiya and Jamie Walker. Odunaiya has now scored 5 goals in 9 appearances since his arrival from Belper United.
Bamber Bridge started with the strong wind in their favour and there was an early chance for Isaac Abankwah which had Ilkeston keeper Alfie Roberts back pedalling before tipping the ball over the bar. Bridge created another opening when George Gryba headed just wide. L’Varn Brandy replied for Ilkeston with a burst of speed down the left but his effort on goal was blocked by a defender. On 40 minutes Jordan Hodkin had the best chance to put Bridge ahead after he got past Roberts but great tackling back by Sam Parker denied him his opportunity and the first half ended goalless.
Ilkeston made a strong start to the second half with the wind behind them and two minutes in, Brandy headed just wide. Then on 49 minutes Nathan Okome received a red card after pulling back Connor Dixon which was judged to be a last man offence. Ilkeston soon capitalised on their player advantage when a brilliant run and cross down the right by full back Taylor Anderson was turned into the net at close range by Odunaiya. Next Matt Thornhill tried to lob Aidan Dowling but the keeper just got back in time. On 71 minutes Jamie Walker gave Ilkeston a two goal advantage. Brandy created the opportunity with a chip over the last defender for Walker to run on to and fire past Dowling. The Robins nearly added a third goal when Dixon’s header brought a fine reaction save by Dowling. Ilkeston’s 3 points mean they are safe but such is the tightness in the lower half of the Northern Premier League that with just two games to play, seven teams are still at risk of relegation.
