    Playoffs 2026-27

    Reminder

    The new format for the playoffs comes in next season at Step 3 and 4 with six teams involved instead of four. ie teams finishing between 2nd and 7th.

    The four Step 3 leagues 
    Still two promotion places ie Champions and playoff winners
    Still four teams to be relegated

    The eight Step 4 leagues
    Still two promotion places ie Champions and playoff winners
    Still four teams relegated

    Of our local teams, Basford , Belper, Carlton and Matlock should make the playoffs again and I expect Mickleover to join them.
    Not sure about Long Eaton, Alfreton and Ilkeston.

    This means we will run in line with the conference play off system.
