Heard at training today (20th June) that a 6ft plus centre half has agreed to sign for us. Hope it’s true. He wasn’t at training today but I saw him last week and he looked decent. I can’t remember his name but I think he’s played previously with Shepshed. Some promising looking players on view this morning. A lad with blue sleeves under his white bib looked very strong and skilful. (a younger version of Sam Essien) Tris and Aaron weren’t there, on holiday I think. so training was taken by the other coach. I know it’s only in a training session but some of the players looked useful. Whether they’re up to Northern Premier League standard is another matter but I’m starting to feel a little less apprehensive now.

25 June ; There’s another player I like the look of who looks a bit older than the others. Whereas the others try their best catch the eye, this one plays like he’s got nothing prove.

Also - Heard that a league 2 player was training with us last night.
