Well, interesting things going on at Matlock Town and usually, I don’t criticise them or the club itself, it was never in the first place, mainly on what David Hilton did to other clubs over the years.
Matlock Town have gotten rid of another manager, Ricky Ravenhill is gone after the loss to Stafford yesterday, I don’t laugh about it or anything like that. I’ll be honest, at first, I believed in David Hilton, Matlock’s owner, but in the last few months, I have never been a fan of him and I only believe in improving Matlock’s new pitch, facilities, etc, but now, he keeps sacking managers and somehow, people are blocked from their page, I’m not the only one, some people have as well, the idea of taking a one season break apparently caused Matlock to block and remove anti-Hilton supporters.
As much as I want Matlock to be better and work on the new pitch, improving facilities, looking at the right direction, I don’t believe this is the best way to go under Hilton, David Hilton destroyed Scunthorpe, Ilkeston and few other clubs, Matlock fans, it is time for a revolution against David Hilton and allow people to have their opinions, as well as making the club free, what David Hilton is doing right now is not what the club should be like or ran by.
I’m not the one to decide this or say all of it, it is up to Matlock supporters, I will extend my break from Matlock Town until David Hilton is out, once he leaves the club, I will come back to Matlock Town, but not until he is gone from the club, I feel like Matlock deserve better than being run by one man.
Yesterday’s defeat resulted in sacking Ricky Ravenhill and I just felt better for some reason because I support Belper Town and Mickleover, having left Matlock for my own reasons and my volunteering reasons, but now adding David Hilton as another reason why I left the club, I am not going to a Matlock game again until he leaves the club, but I have a bad feeling it might end up seeing Matlock struggle in the next few months or years, but it is never too late to fight for freedom for Matlock, no football club should be ran by one man, not Mickleover, not Belper, both of them are well-ran clubs by better owners and I support both of them, why would I support a club that sacks managers and becoming a laughing stock of the non-league football?
